Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that suspect, Jayson Meca Avila, hacked grandmother, Evelyn Pareja Jayme with her grandchild, Gael Jayme Cogay, to death in Purok Lumboy

A grandmother and her five-year-old grandchild were hacked to death early this morning in Purok Lumboy, Barangay Panangban, Compostela, Cebu.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jayson Meca Avila, 41, a resident of the same area.

A sharp bolo, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, was recovered at the scene.
