The Miss SA Organisation has replaced Chidimma Adetshina and announced the Top 10 finalists competing for the crown.
The Miss SA Organisation has replaced controversial finalist Chidimma Adetshina after she dropped out of the pageant on Thursday 8 August.
Chidimma Drops Out Of Miss Sa
So, after the final episode of Miss SA reality show Crown Chasers, there were a total of nine beauty queens who secured spots in the finale. However, there was still a tenth spot up for grabs. So, either Kirsten Khan or Kebalepile Ramafoko was meant to take that spot.
However, Chidimma Adetshina, who already secured her spot to compete in the finale had dropped out after concerns surrounding her ethnicity. Chidimma expressed that she dropped out of the pageant for the safety of herself and her family, in a statement, shared on Instagram on Thursday 8 August. She turned off the comments on the post of the statement.
“I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the safety and wellbeing of my family and I. With the support of the Miss South Africa Organisation, I leave with a heart full of gratitude for this amazing experience,” she wrote.
This came after a bombshell statement by the South African Department of Home Affairs alleged that Chidimma’s mother may have committed fraud and identity theft when registering her birth.
