Meg and Mason just confirmed they’ve been secretly dating since Love is Blind

Despite the season of Love is Blind, which was filmed over a year ago, there are still a lot of twists and turns that have happened since the reunion. Most notably, one new couple, despite insisting they were simply friends at the reunion, has now gone official with their relationship. As it turns out, Love is Blind season eight co-stars Meg and Mason have secretly been dating since after filming the reunion!

Whilst they’d heavily hinted they were together through some very wholesome social media posts, Meg and Mason officially confirmed their post Love is Blind relationship during a joint appearance on the Dear Shandy podcast.

The pair opened up about exactly how their relationships started again outside the pods, revealing: “So, at the reunion, we said that we were just friends because we actually were at the time.

“It’s kind of crazy because living through the whole show and watching it back and everything, we just kind of were there for each other. And through that, rekindled, and now we’re taking it slow and seeing where things go.”

Meg revealed that she and Mason tried to date twice after Love is Blind, but it just didn’t work out initially.

She explained: “Throughout that, we kind of were like, ‘Okay, there’s some things we really want in a relationship that just aren’t there yet, and we didn’t want to force it.’”

She continued: “So we’ve had a year together of truly being best friends, like talking nearly every day, showing up for each other in some of the hardest parts of life the past year, and then when the show drops, just really being the shoulder that we leaned on, and it just brought us so much closer together.

“And we’ve worked on those things that originally weren’t really working in our relationship, to now I feel like it’s a really good balance, and we’ve figured out what we needed to.”

Mason admitted that the reason their relationship didn’t work out the first couple of times outside of the show was down to him, confessing: “I feel like a lot of the reason we didn’t work out was because of who I am as a partner or who I was, essentially.”

He admitted: “Basically, I am such a people pleaser in a relationship where I will just drop anything that my partner wants to do.

“If that’s like hanging out in the afternoon, I’ll cancel plans or whatever I have going on to go do that because I expect my partner to do that kind of stuff and just always [be] there.

“Dating Meg, she wanted someone who had their own opinions and just essentially backbone, like make up your own decision.”

Meg agreed with what Mason said, but explained that she already felt so connected to everything about him while they were in the Love is Blind pods.

She said: “I mean, I’ve always loved Mason knowing his history of relationships. I feel like he’s always sacrificed so much of himself. I don’t have to do anything to be accepted and loved by Mason.”

Mason adorably added: “I’ve never had such a healthy, caring relationship with a partner who actually wants the best for me, so this is just a whole new world for me.” What a pair of cuties, I’m so happy happy everything worked out in the end for them!
