In mid-June 2025, a controversial TikTok trend known as “White Shampoo” started making waves across social media, especially Twitter. The phrase quickly gained traction after a provocative video posted by TikTok creator @okkkkokot surfaced around June 17th. The now-deleted clip, reportedly filmed in a public restroom, featured an adult scene subtly framed so that only the outcome was visible, cleverly disguised with the caption referring to it as “white shampoo.”
Although the video was swiftly removed, it didn’t go unnoticed. Many users questioned how such content made it past TikTok’s moderation filters, igniting debates and drawing comparisons to previous platform controversies like the December 22 incident and the Foopahh trend.
As reactions poured in, some users were shocked, while others treated it with irony and amusement. Regardless, the “White Shampoo” tag became symbolic of ongoing concerns about moderation standards on TikTok, leaving many to wonder where the platform draws the line.
